TLC: Damaged

I know I'm kind of strange
to you sometimes
don't always say
what's on my mind

you know that I've been hurt by some guy
but I dont wanna mess up this time

and I really really really care
and I really really really want you
and I think I'm kinda scared
cause I don't want to lose you
if you're really really really there
then maybe you can hang through
I hope you understand
It's nothing to you

my heart's at a low
I'm so much to manage
I think you should know
that I've been damaged
I'm falling in love
there's one disadvantage
I think you should know
that I've been damaged

I might look through you're stuff
for what I don't want to find
or I might just set you up
to see if you're all mine
I'm a little paranoid
from what I've been through
you don't know what you've got yourself into

Dido: Here With Me

I didn't hear you leave
I wonder how am I still here
And I don't want to move a thing
It might change my memory

I am what I am
I'll do what I want
But I can't hide
I won't go
I won't sleep
I can't breathe
Until you're resting here with me
I won't leave
I can't hide
I cannot be
Until you're resting here with me

I don't want to call my friends
They might wake me from this dream
And I can't leave this bed
Risk forgetting all that's been

Beautiful Disaster by Kelly Clarkson

He drowns in his dreams
An exquisite extreme I know
He’s as damned as he seems
And more heaven than a heart could hold
And if I try to save him
My whole world could cave in
It just ain't right

Oh and I don't know
I don't know what he's after
But he's so beautiful
Such a beautiful disaster
And if I could hold on
Through the tears and the laughter
Would it be beautiful?
Or just a beautiful disaster

He's magic and myth
As strong as what I believe
A tragedy with
More damage than a soul should see
And do I try to change him?
So hard not to blame him
Hold on tight

Pieces by Sum41

I tried to be perfect
But nothing was worth it
I don’t believe it makes me real
I thought it’d be easy
But no one believes me
I meant all the things I said

If you believe it’s in my soul
I’d say all the words that I know
Just to see if it would show
That I’m trying to let you know
That
I’m better off on my own

This place is so empty
My thoughts are so tempting
I don’t know how it got so bad
Sometimes it’s so crazy
That
nothing can save me
But it’s the only thing that I have

superfabulousawesome saturdayyy

the cimb malaysia open 2010 was annoyingly fun :D the curve was alright, but i have much preference for time square la since the cimb kl open last march was more happening & the crowd was bigger.so anyways, the matches were equally exciting tho Azlan had quite an easy win & his opponent was pretty much dramatic in his gestures & reactions towards the referee's decisions. but all in all, the matches were very entertaining, well, jaw-dropping juga :) Jenny Duncalf was playing very well in the first 4 sets; she & Nicol practically chases one another point after point. And the fan meeting session and prize giving ceremony were fabulous--long queue to get autographs & pix with the players. so as i have promised, the juicy bits la, how i negotiated to get Azlan's racket :D nothing much except the art of persuasion and the never-ending 'muke kesian'. thanks Azlan! ilookforwardonmeetingyouagain. ces, gatal :D
a big hug to Nicol for winning against Duncalf.we are very proud of you, we always do :D
ronnie: hey, azlan. do you realized that i have met u like 1001 times?
azlan: of course. i know. its you :D

Back to school

Being back to reality is not entirely awful-its great to be back after the 2 and a half weeks break, its time to work hard-and swear just as much. I have been busy with all sort of stuffs during the holidays-a growing passion for watching cycling events like tour de France-continuous addiction of the discovery channel & national geographic-the daily must see KBS world-it is all very addictive and yes mind-opening. It was not a very relaxing holiday- I was accompanied with proofreading work continuously-this is the bog where the whole proofreading business took place—www.readingyouressay.blogspot.com—it’s the first week back in the university and coping with the 8.30am classes are more than fun-its maddening. But I am loving every single bit of my busy-ness; it keeps me alive.

The world cup fever

The whole month was absolutely thrilling with giant teams bowing out early and the unexpected teams managing to show off a bit. Its more annoying when you have friends or people who keep on updating their facebook status every 10 minutes about soccer-I mean what are you trying to prove? I’ve been watching world cup for almost 20 years-stayed up for champions league for years-crawl in front of the tv at 4am to watch la liga-to catch a glimpse of David Villa and I don’t brag about it-I mean I don’t feel like updating everyone about how I feel-or who I like-who I support-or whatever. I understand and I love tolerating simple status such as ‘German will win tonight’ or ‘Viva Espana’ or something like that but having people updating every movement of the footballers during the match is ANNOYING. I practically missed the first week of the world cup due to final exams, meaning that the world cup fever was a week late for me but yes-watching every matches after the first week was all worth it-the panda eyes-the dreams & crushes on the players-it was all amusing-especially when lovers tend to support the different teams-and siblings declaring their loyalty to the opposite teams-nothing can beat that

The Part Timer

Working part time for a full time student can be both fun and tiring-means extra pocket money and yes, less short naps. However, there are several changes that I would consider as good changes or rather improvement in myself during the 3month part time work—first, I am working part-time in my university so obviously, it requires a lot of walking—good exercise-second, I had to distribute flyers to promote the items so I tend to give a lot of salam—I mean if I had to hand out 70 flyers per day, I practically said 70 salams per day-third, the place I worked at is a stall which sells computer & laptop accessories so you see, I became more advanced in my knowledge of these things—and fourth, the stalls next to mine were the fruits and hijab stalls—I tend to eat more fruits when I was working because those mango taste amazingly delicious with some spicy sauce and I can get two packets with the price of one-the pakcik was generous-may God bless him-and yes, I tend to buy more scarfs, shawls because they are just next door. The other two part-timers are equally mad-constantly arguing with the girl trying to murder the Egyptian by feeding him mango with spicy sauce-but yes, we had a great time altogether.

back to blogging

Have not been blogging for more than a month due to the post-Thomas cup madness, final examination, part-time work, world cup fever & the beginning of the final semester. How irony is that. The Thomas cup week was amusingly fun as the badmintoncentral peeps gather, joke and discuss badminton endlessly; these people love & appreciate every little details of the tournament & the matches-from Simon Santoso’s self esteem to Lin Dan’s way of celebrating his victory against Datuk Lee—the weird-awful-I am great-dance routine-from Taufik Hidayat’s flawless backhand smashes to Hafiz Hashim’s amazing comeback-from how many shirts do the players change during the matches to their attitudes towards fans-outside & inside the courts-from the astonishing partnership of Fu Haifeng-Cai Yun to the German shuttlers who never failed to amuse the crowds-from all sort of noise makers to the cheers & frowns. It was a mixture of fun & disappointment but as for me, it was all world class badminton that is annoyingly makes you crave for more actions.

Victory!

Finally, after days of selecting, uploading, downloading, publishing posts and stuffs, the Malaysia Open 2010 & Thomas/Uber Cup 2010 pictures are ready to be viewed. Although I dont own a superb-expensive-photographer-like-cameras, I am proud of these pictures-expressions- gestures-emotions that i have captured. the current visitor count is 3290 and after posting this entry, I hope it will increase to a great number so yah, surprise me! I had a wonderful-fun-tiring-emotional-memorable week during the Thomas/Uber Cup week so I would love to thank those who have accompanied, texted, called and been nice to me.

p/s: to those who sat beside-behind-in front-or anywhere near me in the stadium, thanks for your patience-especially when i kept chanting 'Ah Boon, Ah Boon'.

Have a good weekend everyone.
